Watlow is the precision end of heating, and one of its most important markets is making chips. The same resistive heating that warms a toaster, taken to extreme precision and purity, is essential inside semiconductor manufacturing equipment: the wafer chucks, chamber heaters and temperature sensors that hold silicon wafers at exact temperatures during etch, deposition and lithography. Watlow is a leading supplier of these thermal systems to the chip-equipment industry.
