One of only 3 US trichlor production facilities; produces ~1/3 of total US trichlor supply. Hurricane Laura (Aug 27, 2020) tore off roof; rainwater contact with TCCA triggered 3-day chlorine gas fire. US Chemical Safety Board issued final investigation report April 2023. Plant closed 2+ years; reopened November 2022. Single facility disruption caused 2-year national pool chemical shortage.
