LyondellBasell Channelview PP Complex
LyondellBasell's Channelview TX complex (Harris County; ~3,000 employees; formerly Lyondell Chemical) operates world-scale PP polymerization units producing both standard and specialty high-MFR grades for meltblown applications. Channelview uses Spherizone multi-zone reactor technology enabling production of specialty PP with controlled molecular weight distribution — critical for meltblown fiber formation. The complex is located on the Houston Ship Channel, 15 miles from ExxonMobil's Baytown complex, in the world's most concentrated petrochemical production zone.
