Materion — Elmore, OH Beryllium & Copper Alloy Complex
Primary U.S. beryllium production and copper-beryllium alloy strip manufacturing. Materion mines beryllium ore at Spor Mountain, Utah and processes it at Elmore, Ohio. Elmore is the only commercial beryllium hydroxide production facility in the Western Hemisphere. Also produces CuNiSi (copper-nickel-silicon) precision strip as beryllium-free alternatives at this site. Defense and aerospace connector alloys with no domestic substitute.
