Shin-Etsu Chemical Niigata Plant (SEPR Photoresist)
Shin-Etsu Chemical's Niigata plant produces SEPR (Shin-Etsu Polymer Resist) EUV photoresist, alongside specialty chemical products. Niigata Prefecture sits on Japan's west coast facing the Sea of Japan — a seismically active region (Niigata-Chuetsu earthquake 2004, M6.8; Niigata-Chuetsu-oki 2007, M6.8 damaged nearby Kashiwazaki-Kariwa nuclear plant).
