Facility
TENEX / UECC Novouralsk Enrichment Plant (Sverdlovsk Oblast, Russia)
Ural Electrochemical Combine (UECC) in Novouralsk (formerly Sverdlovsk-44), Ural Federal District, Russia. One of four Russian centrifuge enrichment facilities operated by TENEX/Rosatom. Russia's largest single enrichment site. Part of the global enrichment capacity of ~26.5 million SWU/year controlled by Rosatom across four sites (Novouralsk, Zelenogorsk Siberia, Seversk Siberia, Angarsk Siberia). Together these four sites represent the world's largest concentration of uranium enrichment capacity under any single entity. Novouralsk feeds both domestic Russian fuel fabrication and TENEX export contracts (to US, European, and Asian utilities — now largely sanctioned/restricted post-2022).
