Toyobo Iwakuni Production Center
The original and still-primary CTA hollow fiber dialyzer membrane production facility globally; located in Iwakuni, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan. Operated since early 1980s. Prior to July 2024, was the ONLY commercial CTA membrane facility in the world. A second joint facility with Nipro opened at Odate, Akita in July 2024 — but both remain in Japan, preserving Japan-country-level concentration risk.
