u-blox AG headquarters and primary R&D facility in Thalwil, Canton of Zurich, on the western shore of Lake Zurich. Designs ZED-F9P and related GNSS chipsets; manufacturing outsourced (fabless model). ZED-F9P module launched 2018; widely adopted in aftermarket precision ag, ag robotics (autonomous tractors, planting robots, sprayer guidance), UAVs, and consumer RTK surveying. u-blox is the dominant chipset supplier for the democratized end of precision agriculture GNSS — low cost, open architecture, widely distributed. Not typically integrated into major tractor OEM factory guidance systems (they use higher-spec NovAtel/captive solutions).
