Woodside Pluto LNG Plant (Karratha, Western Australia)

Pluto LNG plant operated by Woodside Energy, located near Karratha (Burrup Peninsula), Western Australia. Processes gas from the Pluto gas field in the Carnarvon Basin. Two trains; capacity expanded with Pluto Train 2 targeting commissioning. Also connected to North West Shelf Venture (a separate large LNG facility also near Karratha where Woodside is operator). Western Australia is the hub of Australia's LNG industry — the Karratha area hosts multiple LNG trains (Pluto, NWS) making it a concentration point for Australian LNG supply. Australian gas exports are primarily under long-term oil-indexed contracts with Asian buyers (Japan, China, South Korea).
