Ethylene Oxide (EO)

Used to ethoxylate fatty alcohols to produce SLES (sodium laureth sulfate) and alcohol ethoxylates used as co-surfactants in most liquid cleaners and shampoos. EPA classifies EO as a human carcinogen (2016 IRIS assessment).
