Silver (low-e sputtering target)

Ultra-pure silver (99.99%+) used in magnetron sputtering to deposit the core functional layer of offline low-emissivity coatings. Silver layers of ~8–12nm thickness provide the infrared reflectivity that gives low-e glass its thermal performance. Silver is also a critical input for solar cells (PV paste), electronics, and medical devices — competing demand affects availability.
