YKK AP, the building-systems arm of the zipper maker, pulled in ¥577.9 billion last year—35% more than YKK's entire fastening business. By 2030, the company targets ¥1 trillion in architectural revenue, which would make windows and curtain walls nearly 2.5 times larger than zippers.
