Keeps the meetings and records of certain military selection boards (10 U.S.C. 573, 611, 628, 20211) private. Only board members can see the proceedings, except when needed to handle the board’s report. The talks and any written records cannot be forced into court, used as evidence, or used in legal or administrative cases without the military department Secretary’s consent. This is an exemption under 5 U.S.C. 552(b)(3).
