Title 15 › Chapter 1— MONOPOLIES AND COMBINATIONS IN RESTRAINT OF TRADE › § 8
Any agreement, deal, or plan made by two or more people or companies, where at least one of them imports goods from another country, is illegal if it is meant to limit fair competition or to raise prices for imported items or products made from them. Such agreements have no legal force. A person who breaks this rule, or who works with others to do so, commits a misdemeanor. On conviction in federal court, they must pay a fine of $100 to $5,000 and may be jailed for three to twelve months.
