§201a Revision of Boundaries

Summary

The park boundary is redrawn so the park includes the lands inside the new lines below and the park’s present boundary. First, a line starts at the southwest corner of the southeast quarter of section 29, township 30 north, range 5 east (Mount Diablo meridian), then goes west on section lines into township 30 north, range 4 east; then north on section lines up to fractional section 5 (T30N R4E); east on the township line to section 32 in township 31 north, range 4 east; then follows section and quarter‑section lines through sections 31, 30, 29, 20, 18, 8, and 4, drops to Lost Creek and follows the creek south to the north line of section 14 (T31N R4E), and then east along section lines to meet the present park boundary. Second, a short addition at township 31 north, range 5 east adds land around section 8 to meet the current north boundary near section 12. Third, starting at the northeast corner of the northwest quarter of section 24 (T31N R6E) on the present east line, the line runs east between sections 13 and 24, then south three miles to the southeast corner of section 36, west to section 1 (T30N R6E), then south and west along section and existing boundary lines through sections 25–30 and 36 to a point on the present boundary at section 30 (T30N R6E). All lands within these new lines and the present park lines are added to Lassen Volcanic National Park.
