Summary

Adds to Theodore Roosevelt National Park the land inside a boundary that begins at the southwest corner of section 17 in township 147 north, range 100 west. The boundary runs north along the west edges of several sections in township 147, continues into township 148, then moves through and around parts of section 29 and along the west edges of sections 28 and 21. It then follows north borders of sections in township 148 and into range 99 west, crosses and follows several section corners and lines to the east quarter corner of section 35 (T148N, R99W), goes west to and then follows the north bank of the Little Missouri River westward to section 4 (T147N, R99W), and returns by way of several section lines and the south borders of sections 14–17 back to the starting point. All land inside that described boundary is now part of the park and must follow park laws and rules. All of it lies west of the Fifth Principal Meridian.

The following-described lands are made a part of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park, subject to all laws and regulations applicable thereto: Beginning at the southwest corner of section 17, township 147 north, range 100 west; thence north along the west boundaries of section 17, 8, 5, township 147 north, range 100 west, and section 32 to the southwest corner of section 29, township 148 north, range 100 west; thence east to the southwest corner of the southeast quarter of section 29; thence north to the northwest corner of the southwest quarter of the northeast quarter of section 29; thence east to the northeast corner of the southeast quarter of the northeast quarter of section 29; thence north along west boundary of section 28 and 21 to the west quarter corner of section 21; thence east to the east quarter corner of section 21; thence north along west boundary of section 22 to the northwest corner of section 22; thence east along the north boundaries of section 22, 23, 24, township 148 north, range 100 west and section 19 and 20 to the north quarter corner of section 20, township 148 north, range 99 west; thence south to the northwest corner of the southeast quarter of section 20; thence east to the east quarter corner of section 20; thence south to the southeast corner of section 20; thence along the north boundaries of section 28, 27, and 26, township 148 north, range 99 west, to the northeast corner of section 26; thence south along east boundaries of section 26 and 35 to the east quarter corner of section 35, township 148 north, range 99 west; thence west to the north bank of Little Missouri River; thence following the north bank of the Little Missouri River in a generally westerly direction to where the north bank of the river crosses the north boundary of section 4, township 147 north, range 99 west; thence west to the northwest corner of section 4; thence south to the southeast corner of section 5; thence west along the south boundaries of section 5 and 6, township 147 north, range 99 west, and section 1, township 147 north, range 100 west to the northeast corner of section 11; thence south along east boundaries of section 11 and 14 to the southeast corner of section 14; thence west along the south boundaries of section 14, 15, 16, and 17 to the point of beginning, all west of the fifth principal meridian.
