Title 16 › CHAPTER 1 — NATIONAL PARKS, MILITARY PARKS, MONUMENTS, AND SEASHORES › SUBCHAPTER LXXIX — INDIANA DUNES NATIONAL PARK › § 460u–6
The Secretary can use any legal powers for national parks, and any other powers he has, to protect and manage the park as needed to carry out this law. The park must be kept in its current condition. No visitor buildings or projects may be done if they would harm the park’s special plants and animals, its natural landforms, or historic places and buildings the Secretary names. The Secretary can, however, create trails, viewpoints, exhibits, and services to help people enjoy and learn about the park, and can develop parts of the park that are suitable for public use.
