Certain lands in California are taken out of settlement, occupancy, and sale and set aside as reserved forest land under the rules in section 471c. They are: Township 17 south, range 30 east of the Mount Diablo meridian (except sections 31, 32, 33, and 34, which are covered in section 41); all of townships 15 and 16 south in ranges 29 and 30 east of the same meridian; and sections 5 and 6 of township 14 south, range 28 east, plus sections 31 and 32 of township 13 south, range 28 east. Sections 55, 61, 471c, and this law do not allow any rule or contract for protecting or improving these reservations to require spending more than the money the Secretary of the Interior receives under these provisions. They also do not allow any charge to be made against the U.S. Treasury.
