§680 Game Animal and Bird Refuge in South Dakota; Establishment

Summary

The President may, by official order before June 7, 1924, take certain government lands out of the pool of lands that can be claimed or transferred so they can be protected and bred for antelope and other game animals and birds. Any valid claims already started under the public land laws must be respected. The lands are: National forest lands — Township 18 North, Range 7 East, Black Hills Meridian: section 24 (south half and south half of north half) and section 25 (all); Township 18 North, Range 8 East: sections 17–20; section 21 (west half); sections 29–32. Public lands — Township 18 North, Range 7 East: sections 5–9; 13–23; section 24 (north half of north half); 26–36; and parts of sections 3, 4, 10, and 11 lying south and west of the Riva Road. These withdrawals do not change national forest withdrawals made before June 7, 1924.
