§719c Authorization of Appropriations

Summary
The law authorizes $350,000 each year for the Program’s administrative costs for fiscal years 2006 through 2010. Each year, no more than $100,000 can be used by the Secretary to run the Program, and no more than $250,000 can be given to State and regional coordinators to carry out competitions.

(a)There are authorized to be appropriated to the Secretary for administrative expenses of the Program $350,000 for each of the fiscal years 2006 through 2010.
(b)Of the amount appropriated under this section for a fiscal year—
(1)not more than $100,000 may be used by the Secretary to administer the Program; and
(2)not more than $250,000 may be distributed to State and regional coordinators to implement competitions under the Program.

2006—Pub. L. 109–166 designated existing provisions as subsec. (a), inserted subsec. L. 106–316, § 1, substituted “for each of the fiscal years 2001 through 2005” for “for each of the fiscal years 1995 through 2000”.
