§726 Acts Prohibited in Refuge; Commercial Fishing

Summary

People may not go into the refuge or harm its wildlife, plants, nests, eggs, or U.S. property unless they follow rules set by the Secretary of the Interior for birds, game animals, fur-bearing animals, wild flowers, aquatic plants, fish, and other water animals. This means you cannot disturb, injure, kill, take, remove, or try to do those things to animals or plants, or damage signs, fences, buildings, or other government property on the refuge. Commercial fishing in the refuge waters is allowed only if it follows rules made by the Secretary of the Interior.
