Intentionally or by fraud exporting, trying to export, or helping to move, hide, buy, or sell items from the United States when you know they are meant to be sent in violation of U.S. law is a crime. If guilty, a person can be fined under federal law, jailed for up to 10 years, or both. The word "United States" here means what section 545 says it means.
