Summary

The Secretary may award grants to support cooperative partnerships among Hispanic-serving institutions and between those colleges and other schools. Hispanic-serving institutions are colleges that qualify for aid under this subchapter. The grants fund the activities listed in sections 1101b and 1102b so schools can share resources, cut down on duplicate work, and strengthen the institutions. The Secretary must give priority to grant applications that are geographically and economically sound or that clearly help the applicant Hispanic-serving institution. Grants may run for the period set by section 1101d.
