Title 22 › Chapter 21— SETTLEMENT OF INTERNATIONAL CLAIMS › Subchapter V— CLAIMS AGAINST CUBA AND CHINA › § 1643m

Summary

The Commission’s certification under section 1643f is the only way to get the compensation. U.S. citizens who missed the filing deadline, people who were not allowed to file, and Cubans (including Cuban government parts, local governments, enterprises, or successors) cannot claim, share in, or have any interest in that money or other compensation, and U.S. district courts cannot decide those claims. Subsection (b) does not change any rights in stock shares owned by U.S. nationals whose claims were certified under section 1643f.
