§7905 Greenhouse Gas Intensity Reducing Technology Export Initiative

Summary

Creates a team of federal agencies that must promote the export of technologies and practices that lower greenhouse gas intensity. The team must pick priority developing countries using the report required by section 7902(a)(2)(A), find likely barriers to using those technologies using reports under section 7904, and study past U.S. energy export efforts to learn best practices. Members include the Secretary of State as head, the USAID Administrator, the U.S. Trade Representative, and designees from the Energy, Commerce, and EPA offices. No later than 180 days after August 8, 2005, and every year after, the team must review what the federal government has done and the results. It must send a report to the relevant congressional committees describing those results and offering recommendations to increase exports.
