Federal agencies must give a requested briefing within 15 days about how they are carrying out certain listed sections of law. For section 9711, the Secretary of State and the USAID Administrator must brief the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, the Senate Appropriations Committee, the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and the House Appropriations Committee. For section 9751, the Secretary of State must brief those same four committees. For sections 9703, 9712, or 142, the Secretary of State must brief the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and the House Foreign Affairs Committee. For section 131, the Secretary of State and the Director of National Intelligence must brief the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. For section 9731, the Secretary of State and the USAID Administrator must brief the four committees listed above for 9711. For sections 9721 or 9722, the Secretary of State must brief the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and the House Foreign Affairs Committee. For section 9741, the Secretary of State, the Secretary of the Treasury, and the Attorney General must brief six committees: Senate Foreign Relations; Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs; Senate Judiciary; House Foreign Affairs; House Financial Services; and House Judiciary. For section 9752, the Secretary of State, the Secretary of the Treasury, and the Secretary of Homeland Security must brief the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and the House Homeland Security Committee.
