The Chairman must tell each Indian tribe or management contractor who, before October 17, 1988, had an ordinance, resolution, or management contract allowing class II or class III gaming to send that ordinance, resolution, or contract, plus any related side agreements, for review within 60 days of the notice. Games played under those old rules or contracts stay valid unless the Chairman disapproves them under this part. The Chairman must review submitted ordinances or resolutions within 90 days to see if they meet the rules in section 2710(b). If they do, the Chairman approves them. If not, the tribe gets a written list of needed changes and has 120 days to fix them. Management contracts are reviewed under section 2711 within 180 days. If a contract or its manager meets the rules, it is approved. If not, the parties get written changes and have 120 days to comply, except contracts approved by the Secretary before October 17, 1988, get 180 days after notice.
