Title 25 › Chapter 32B— SAFEGUARD TRIBAL OBJECTS OF PATRIMONY › § 3077
Keeps certain materials people give to federal agencies under this law from being released under the Freedom of Information Act. That includes information a tribal or Native Hawaiian representative turns in and marks as private under tribal custom, law, culture, or religion, and information tied to an item for which an export certificate was denied. For FOIA, this law is treated as the type that allows withholding. A tribe or Native Hawaiian organization may ask for and must receive its own protected information from the agency it sent it to.
