People in the Tuition Reimbursement Program must work full-time in clinical care for the Department for the time agreed in their contract. If a participant is already a full-time Veterans Health Administration employee when they finish the course, their required service starts on that finish date. If a participant does not finish the course, they get no reimbursement and owe no service, except when tuition was paid under section 7622(e). In that case, the obligation is the same as if they had finished and starts on the date the failure is confirmed. course completion date — the date the participant finishes the training.
