The Corporation can approve service jobs so people who complete them can earn the national service education award. It covers eight kinds of positions, including jobs in federally assisted national service programs; programs run by States, territories, Indian tribes, nonprofits, colleges, or Federal agencies that would qualify for assistance even if they did not apply; VISTA volunteer roles; positions that support service‑learning; National Civilian Community Corps roles; youth corps crew leaders or similar support positions; ServeAmerica Fellowship roles; and other positions the Corporation finds appropriate.
