The Corporation can give help to qualified applicants who apply to plan, start, run, or grow national service programs. Planning help can last up to 1 year. Help to establish, operate, or expand a program can last up to 3 years and can be renewed if the applicant files a new application. Expanding a proven program into a new area can also get up to 3 years of help and may be renewed with a new application. If a State or any other recipient gets this help and wants to run a grant program that supports other national service programs, the same rules apply to them.
