Title 42 › Chapter 134— ENERGY POLICY › Subchapter I— ALTERNATIVE FUELS—GENERAL › § 13214
The Secretary, working with the Administrator of General Services, must promote and teach federal officials and employees about the benefits of alternative-fueled vehicles. They must give agencies information on six things: where to refuel and service these vehicles; how far and how well they perform; state, local, and commercial programs; federal purchases and placements; how to operate and maintain them per the maker’s instructions; and incentive programs under sections 13215 and 13216. The Secretary and the Administrator must also provide guidance and technical help to agencies buying and placing these vehicles through the Administrator of General Services. Those purchases and locations must follow the buying rules in section 13212.
