§55301 Report on Administration of Programs by Other Federal Departments and Agencies

Summary

The Administrator of the Maritime Administration must send Congress a yearly report on how the Department of Defense follows section 2631 of title 10 and on other federal departments and agencies with programs the Administrator says fall under section 55305. Each report must list, for every department or agency covered, the gross tonnage of cargo by type carried on United States‑flag vessels versus foreign vessels, and the total number of United States‑flag and foreign vessels each department or agency contracts. Heads of those departments and agencies must give the Maritime Administrator that information by January 31 each year.
