§55301 Report on Administration of Programs by Other Federal Departments and Agencies

Summary

The Maritime Administrator must send Congress a yearly report about how the Department of Defense follows section 2631 of title 10 and about other federal programs the Administrator says fall under section 55305. Each report must list, for every covered department or agency, the cargo tonnage by type moved on U.S.-flag ships versus foreign ships and the number of U.S.-flag and foreign ships they hired. Heads of those departments and agencies must give that information to the Maritime Administrator by January 31 each year.
