§47525 Decision About Airport Noise and Access Restrictions on Certain Stage 2 Aircraft

Summary

Requires the Secretary of Transportation to study and then decide if existing airport noise and access rules should apply to stage 2 aircraft that weigh not more than 75,000 pounds. When making the decision, the Secretary must look at how noisy those planes are compared with other aircraft, the benefits to general aviation and the need for an efficient national air travel system, differences in how airports and nearby areas operate, international noise rules and agreements, and any other factors the Secretary thinks are necessary.
