Gives a disabled employee an extra payment of 8⅓ percent if they have one or more dependents. If the disability pay is under section 8105 or 8107(a), the extra is 8⅓% of the monthly pay; if it is under section 8106(a), the extra is 8⅓% of the difference between monthly pay and monthly wage-earning capacity. A dependent means a wife or husband (lives with or is regularly supported by the employee or is supported by a court order); an unmarried child (lives with or is supported by the employee and is under 18 or over 18 but disabled); or a parent who is wholly supported by the employee.
