Title 5 › Part III— EMPLOYEES › Subpart G— Insurance and Annuities › Chapter 85— UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION › Subchapter I— EMPLOYEES GENERALLY › § 8504
The Secretary of Labor’s rules say which State gets credit for a federal worker’s federal service and wages. Normally, the credit goes to the State of the worker’s last official federal station before they file their first claim for the benefit year. If, when filing, they live in a different State where they worked in covered employment after leaving federal service, the credit goes to that State. If their last federal station before filing was outside the United States, the credit goes to the State where they live when they file.
