Who Can Request Repatriation and Process
Any lineal descendant, Indian Tribe, or Native Hawaiian organization may send a written request for repatriation and must show by a preponderance of the evidence they are the eligible requestor. If competing requests are received, St. Joseph Museums, Inc. will determine the most appropriate requestor, and joint requests are treated as a single request.
