Summary

The National Park Service wants to start a new study to learn more about the people who visit our parks and how their visits affect local communities. They’re asking for public feedback by February 18, 2025, to make sure the questions are clear and not too much work. This study will help improve park experiences without costing visitors extra money or time.

Short Voluntary Park Visitor Survey

If you visit a National Park during the study's sampling period, you may be asked to take a one-time, voluntary survey. The study expects 58,544 total respondents (36,936 intercept, 8,310 non-response, and 13,298 mail-back), each taking about 2 to 13 minutes, for a total estimated burden of 6,852 hours; there is no estimated monetary cost to respondents.
