Pipeline Capacity Increase and Reliability Work

Gulf South proposes the PLUSS Project in St. Martin and Ascension parishes, Louisiana, including replacing about 4.5 miles of pipeline segments and building a new 12,510 horsepower Sorrento Compressor Station. The company says the project would add 236,000 dekatherms per day of capacity and is estimated to cost about $116.9 million; it is intended to improve system reliability and integrity.

Deadline to Intervene and Have Legal Standing

If you want to become a party in the Gulf South Pipeline CP25-54-000 proceeding, you must file a motion to intervene by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on March 4, 2025. Intervenors gain the right to request rehearing of Commission orders and to challenge orders in the U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeal; filing comments alone does not grant party status.

Section 401 Water Quality Certification Required

The project requires a water quality certificate under Section 401 of the Clean Water Act from the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality. Gulf South must submit to the Commission a copy of the request for certification and either the certifying agency's decision or evidence of waiver when available.
