Extra U.S. Duties on Kazakhstan Ferrosilicon
The Department of Commerce found that producers and exporters of ferrosilicon from Kazakhstan received countervailable subsidies. As a result, imports of ferrosilicon from Kazakhstan covering January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2023 will face extra countervailing duties, which means U.S. importers and buyers will pay more for that product.
