Preliminary countervailing finding on erythritol

The U.S. Department of Commerce preliminarily found that producers and exporters of erythritol from the People’s Republic of China received countervailable subsidies during the period January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2023. That preliminary finding could lead to extra import taxes (countervailing duties) on Chinese erythritol to keep things fair for U.S. businesses. The decision is still preliminary and interested parties were invited to comment.
