Mississippi Crossing Project Planned

Tennessee Gas Pipeline Company plans the Mississippi Crossing (MSX) Project to build about 199 miles of 36- and 42-inch pipeline, additional laterals, three new gas-fired compressor stations, four meter stations, and overpressure protection facilities in Mississippi and Choctaw County, Alabama. The project is designed to add 2.1 billion cubic feet per day of firm capacity, is about 90% subscribed, and is estimated to cost approximately $1.7 billion.

South System Expansion 4 Planned

Southern Natural Gas and Elba Express propose the South System Expansion 4 (SSE4) Project to build about 291 miles of pipeline loops, add or expand compression at 12 stations, abandon nine compressor units and ~2.2 miles of lateral, and add/modify meter stations across Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia. The project is designed to add 1.323 billion cubic feet per day of firm capacity, is fully subscribed, and is estimated to cost approximately $3.458 billion.
