WECC Price-Cap Investigation and Refund Date
On July 15, 2025, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission opened an investigation under section 206 of the Federal Power Act into the Western Electricity Coordinating Council's soft price cap framework. The Commission set the refund effective date as the date this notice was published in the Federal Register (July 18, 2025).
