Mexican Steel Rebar Firms Face Final US Antidumping Duties

Published Date: 9/4/2025

Notice

Summary

The U.S. checked if some Mexican companies sold steel rebar in America for less than fair prices from Nov 2022 to Oct 2023. They found that Deacero Group and TA 2000 did, so extra duties (taxes) will apply to balance things out. This means importers need to watch for new costs starting now to keep everything fair and square.

Antidumping Duties on Mexican Rebar

The Department of Commerce found that Deacero Group and TA 2000 sold steel concrete reinforcing bar (rebar) from Mexico in the U.S. at less than fair value for the period November 1, 2022 through October 31, 2023. As a result, additional antidumping duties will apply to those imports, so importers should expect new costs starting now.
