Summary
The U.S. checked if Suncity Metals from India sold welded stainless pressure pipes too cheaply between November 2022 and October 2023. They found that Suncity Metals did sell below fair value, so extra duties will apply. This means importers will pay more money starting now to keep things fair for U.S. businesses.

Antidumping Duties on Suncity Imports
The Department of Commerce found that Suncity Metals (India) sold welded stainless pressure pipe (WSPP) at less than normal value during November 1, 2022 through October 31, 2023. As a result, antidumping duties will apply and importers of those Suncity WSPP shipments will have to pay extra money starting now.
Fairness for U.S. Pipe Makers
Commerce concluded the below-cost sales determination to keep competition fair for U.S. businesses that make welded stainless pressure pipe. The action covers the period November 1, 2022 through October 31, 2023 and is intended to protect U.S. producers by offsetting unfairly low-priced imports from Suncity Metals.
