Imports May Face New Duties

The United States started the final phase of antidumping and countervailing duty investigations into oleoresin paprika from India on April 2, 2026. If the Commission and the Department of Commerce confirm injury and subsidies/dumping, importers of this product could have to pay additional duties (countervailing and/or antidumping duties), meaning importers may pay more for those shipments.

U.S. Paprika Makers Could Gain Protection

The investigations are meant to determine whether imports of oleoresin paprika from India are materially injuring U.S. industry. If injury is found and duties are imposed, U.S. producers of oleoresin paprika would be protected from subsidized or unfairly priced imports, potentially improving their competitive position.
