3 provisions identified: 1 benefits, 2 costs, 0 mixed.

Much larger VALERI reporting burden

VA updated the VALERI information collection so it now expects 39,744 respondents with an estimated average burden of 66 minutes per response, producing a total annual burden of 43,751 hours (one-time). The number of respondents rose from 16,509 and the per-response time rose from 11 minutes, increasing overall reporting time substantially.

New VALERI fields to implement VA Reform Act

To implement Public Law 119-31 (VA Home Loan Program Reform Act, July 30, 2025), VA will collect additional data elements and documentation through the VALERI system to align with newly enacted statutory requirements supporting expanded Loss Mitigation and Partial Claim activities.

VASP and COVID data elements removed

VA removed Veteran Assistance Servicing Purchase (VASP) data elements and COVID-19 Veterans Assistance Partial Claim Program (COVID-VAPCP) and COVID-19 Refund Modification data elements from the VALERI Events Upload Template because the VASP program wound down and the COVID-related authorities expired; those data elements are no longer required.
