Scholarships for Vet Center Mental Health Roles

If you are a Veteran, the Readjustment Counseling Service Scholarship Program (RCSSP) provides scholarship awards to Veterans enrolled in accredited graduate programs in psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or mental health counseling so they can meet education requirements for appointment at VA Vet Centers. The program is authorized by section 502 of Public Law 115-171.

Application and Award Paperwork Time Burden

Applying for or receiving an RCSSP award requires filling specific forms; the notice estimates a total annual respondent burden of 181 hours across 66 total responses (54 applicant responses and 12 awardee responses). Individual form burdens are listed (for example, applicant Form 10-264 = 60 minutes; awardee Form 10-264D = 20 minutes) and responses are required once annually.
