Paperwork Burden Cut for Employers

OSHA is proposing to reduce the Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) paperwork burden for employers from 69,657 hours to 53,289 hours, a decrease of 16,368 hours. The notice also lists an Estimated Total Burden Hours figure of 53,440, with 3,000 respondents and 9,470 responses counted.

SGE Application Form Removed (OF-612)

OSHA removed the Optional Application for Federal Employment (OF-612) from the Special Government Employee (SGE) application. OSHA Safety Champions Program Expanded

OSHA rebranded OSHA Challenge as the OSHA Safety Champions Program (SCP) and created SCP SGEs so safety and health individuals from across the country who are not at VPP sites can apply to help Safety Champions Participants. The SCP Sign Up and SCP Tracker are used for registration and preliminary analysis of a participant's safety and health knowledge.
