Antidumping Duties on Algerian Rebar

If you import rebar from Algeria, U.S. Customs and Border Protection will assess antidumping duties on unliquidated entries of rebar entered or withdrawn for consumption on or after December 19, 2025. Commerce directed that duties be assessed equal to the amount by which normal value exceeds export price, and the estimated weighted-average dumping margin listed is 127.32 percent.

Cash Deposits and Suspension Reinstated

Effective on the date of publication of the ITC's final affirmative injury determination in the Federal Register (applicable April 29, 2026), Commerce will instruct CBP to reinstitute suspension of liquidation and require cash deposits at the time of import equal to the estimated weighted-average dumping margins. The instruction applies at the same time importers normally deposit estimated customs duties and uses the rates listed (127.32%).

Short Window of Duty-Free Liquidation

Unliquidated entries of rebar from Algeria that were entered or withdrawn for consumption on or after April 18, 2026 and through the day preceding publication of the ITC's final injury determination in the Federal Register will be liquidated without regard to antidumping duties. This creates a limited period when those entries are not assessed AD duties.
